Brought to you by Tickle<born and raised in cape town. spent my childhood in a rural part of hermanus. i guess due to my childhood, i'm a loyal, honest, non judgemental person. after matriculating, i was thrown into the world of photography and became very good at it. now i'm in the film industry and firmly believe that everything happens for a reason.that was then... this is now.because of my current work, i sleep during the day and work during the night. needless to say most of my personal relationships have failed and i needed a hobby which would not effect me in any negative way and would be something i could do during both day and night. i purchased a dj console which consisted of two cdj's and a mixer. i had no idea how to beat mix, but have a passion for music. it took me about 10 weeks to teach myself how to mix and compile a two hour mix. once i had confidence in my mix, i entered a dj competition held at Baraza, Camps Bay. after playing my two hour set, i was immediately asked to play the sundowner sets for them between 17:00 and 19:00 on tuesdays and wednesdays. it was the best summer of my life... so far.it is now a year and eight months later and i'm still going strong. i have to date recorded 3 mixes. the first one was broadcasted on Sound Republic, hosted by Tony Finger. the second and third have been broadcasted on Good Hop fm's Nightwatchmen show with Dino Moran and Craig De Sousa. not only have i been lucky to play at the famous Baraza, but i've played at places like The M Bar, now called Daddy Cool, Baghdad Cafe and Capello. most of my support has come from local dj's such as Dino Moran, Tony Finger, Shannon Wilkinson and Dj Prophett 777, however, i've been receiving support from international record labels whom have been sending me promotional material.music is all about sharing and i would like to share positive messages with my mixes. something which isn't commercial, but a sound which everyone can relate to.to be continued...
