Husband to my beautiful wife Tanya. Father to my two awesome boys Caidan and Camden. Musician and writer. Seeker Truth :) My main musical project at the moment is called Mississippi Sugar Loaf (http://www.myspace.com/sugarloaftheband).I've been writing since before I even began school. I started out with short stories and novels and now mostly write music and poetry that later becomes music. I started playing music at age 5 with piano. I took lessons for 6 years until I was 11. I began playing in school band with baritone after piano. While getting more interested in popular and rock music I grew disinterested in the school band. One day while looking through the mothballs in our basement closet I found an old acoustic guitar. After teaching myself to play for a few years I bought my first electric. My growing interest prompted me to teach a friend to play bass guitar and learn myself at the same time. When my friend and I parted ways I decided to focus my time on learning bass so I could play for my own original compositions still. Since then I have been expanding my musical tastes and learning more and more theory, styles, techniques and much about life in general. I recently was playing with Bear's Eclectic Honey Band (http://www.myspace.com/bearseclectichoney/) Through that endevour I met my wife who I'm madly in love with, Tanya Bruss and we have two sons together named Caidan and Camden. Unfortunately when I moved to Winona to be with her I was no longer able to be a part of that band project. I have some poetry / song lyrics in my blog that will soon become music as I work on getting some recordings down. Some of it has been worked into Mississippi Sugar Loaf (http://www.myspace.com/sugarloaftheband)-a variety project ranging from roots, rock, funk, reggae, blues, jazz, alternative metal, electronica and everything in between. A fusion of sorts. For a time I worked with my friend, Devious, on a two piece project titled Heliospace (http://www.myspace.com/heliospacemusic). We improvised random jams together which we planned to develop organically. Devious is now moving out of Winona though so that project is currently in limbo. However, we have written one track together on a weekend visit that we decided to put under a new project (since it was a written song rather than a jam) titled Mother Intelligentsia (http://www.myspace.com/motherintelligentsia) and hopefully more songs will follow. I am working on some other collaborations to keep my creativity nourished, but currently my main focus is Mississippi Sugar Loaf. Now matter what intrument, style, etc you play if you live nearby drop me a line.
