Band Members: Moogoo or in other words how a young wonder growing with classical and jazz music enters the Hip Hop world. Aint that a little bit paradoxical?
Well, this is in fact the outcome of a two years stay in NYC (1988). Back in the days, rap was spreading around quickly and widely with the advent of Public Enemy, LL Cool J, NWA or Ice-T. Immediately seduced by the spirit and the heat of that movement, Moogoo, between two lectures in the Long Island University, didnt miss any occasion to witness the development of the Hip Hop scene.
Inspired by producers like Jay Dee, Pete Rock, Scott Storch or even Timbaland, Moogoo delivers rich, sharp and effective compositions indeed reflecting its ecclectism.
You can now hear from him on the compilation « Hostile 2006 » with the track « Cicatrices » from Jamal and on « Original Bombattack 3 » planned for next season. Moogoo is currently in studio with Kayna Samet for the entire making of her next album.
