About Me

Lyric Of The Day: Life is overwhelming heavy is the head that wears the crown. I'd love to be the one to disappoint you when I don't fall down. You're no good, for me, thank God it's over.

Quote Of Week:"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." Helen Keller
"While I thought that I was learning how to live, I have been learning how to die." Leonardo da Vinci
"We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers--you can blame anyone, but never blame yourself. It's never your fault. But it's ALWAYS your fault, because if you wanted to change, you're the one who has got to change. It's as simple as that, isn't it?" -- Katharine Hepburn
Quote Of The Day 10/23/2006 :"You show me a tropical fruit, and I'll show you a cocksucker from Guatemala" ~ George Carlin
"You want sympathy? It’s in the dictionary between Shit & Syphilis."
"My antagonistic meanspirited attitude is reserved for fuckwits who desperately try to rationalize or otherwise defend what is an unhealthy mindset. Get some therapy."
I like my aggression up front where I can see it & deal with it. I'm tired of weak-minded passive-aggressive bullshit that people fling while claiming to be non-confrontational. Anyone who can't confront issues head-on isn't someone I care to be around .

Blah, blah, blah. I love music, movies, people that are intelligent and witty. I think that honesty is the best policy. The truth sometimes hurts but a lie hurts so much more and just causes so many more problems. I try to surround myself with people that make me smile and laugh. I believe that most people are good, but there are some folks out there that are just evil from the get go. Those are the dummies I try to avoid.

I think that true love exists in the world and that having love in your life really changes you and helps you to grow as a person as well as giving your soul freedom and comfort. One day I hope to have a family and be a mother and wife. I have a lot of love in my heart, even with the scars of life, my heart is still open and willing to love.
Let's get on with the other stuff about me. Well, I have 3 dogs, 2 cats. That's really not all the interesting now is it? They are interesting, I think maybe my animals are possessed. I know my cat is bulimic and I am fairly certain my dogs are neurotic possibly the oddest creatures on Earth. Um, I love karaoke, which is just totally embarrassing. I am a huge music fan, I like a variety of music and I am listening to something all the time, in the car, at work or just here at the house.
I am gainfully employed as a "Beauty Authority" at Sephora. The store has yet to open..will at the end of September beginning of October. I really like it and I am lucky to be working with some really nice people.
Gotta learn something new everyday....so I really attempt that daily. For fun, I hang out with some friends, read, rent movies, go to the movies, drive about, shop, talk on the phone, normal girly stuff.
I am definitely a "girly-girl", but I can party with the big boys, and ususally do. I am super blunt. Overly honest some might say. I hate to be totally rude but can be if the situation arises. I love meeting new people and making friends but I am sorta picky. Most of my friends would say I am very loyal and super loving as a friend.. and I am fairly certain none of them would want me for an enemy. Must be the Czech/Italian heritage..I'm a weird combo!
Well, over the year my life has changed really drastically, a lot of bad but surprisingly a lot of good. I have learned that nothing is constant but change. Really no matter how much wishing, hoping, praying, whatever is gonna change something that is just bound to happen. I am thinking that things are ever changing and right when you think you have a handle on this rocket ride of life..you spin completely out of control. Nothing is ever as it seems and you can try and control your destiny but really destiny has no master.
Anyhow..this has turned into a fuckin' A&E biography....If you're still reading let me go on to say; if you are into music, musically inclined, you're funny, witty, verbally intriguing, honest, laid back, just a generally an all about cool person, then feel free to give me a shout! But if you're just a waterhead and can barely construct a sentence and/or verbalize something in a cohesive way...kick rocks! I have no time for bullshit.
Muah! ~April~

I want to get these as a tatoos: One is from Roman Dirge's "Monsters In My Tummy", the other he did on his website back in February.
I love this one, I may end up getting both. It is a definite toss up between them.

Books:

Well right now I am reading a whole bunch of books. I am always reading some "historical" romance or some type of trashy romance novel.(A girl can dream damnit!) I just can't help myself. Hey,I do read other stuff. I'm not all fluff and no substance!!!! Like I said I am reading a few things now..Abook about coincidences called funnily Coincidences by Ken Anderson.
I've also read all the Laurel K. Hamilton books. I can only say I am a fan! Her books are non-stop and of course about zombies and vampires and all sorts of otherworldl creatures. Super nifty.
With me going back to work I have not been reading nearly as much as I should be. I seem to only have time for quick ADD inspired reads. So, I picked up a little book at Kohl's the other day...it was super cheap at a whopping 1.79..how could I pass it up. It's called "Age doesn't matter unless you're a cheese." It is a little collection of quotes on living and and various things from a plethora of different people. I like it a lot. The other book I have been perusing thru is The World's Worst Historical Disasters Chronicling the Greatest Catastrophes of All Time - Chris McNab. It's interesting, a little morbid and scary but interesting none the less.
In addition to regular books I am an avid Lenore - Roman Dirge comic book collector. Of course I also collect any Buffy books or comics I can get my grubby little paws on. Reading is essential..keeps the mind focused on something other than all the bullshit that thwarts your life.

Heroes:

My Grandpa. The most amazing person I have ever met. He was my hero in every sense of the word and can never thank God enough for letting me have such a phenomenal person in my life even if I thought it was too brief. My grandpa passed away August 14, 2002 (born October 23, 1923). I miss him everyday.
He lives in my heart now.

Other than my Grandpa, there's also my Grandma, she passed away 2 months and 3 days after my Grandpa. I buried her on his birthday. She taught me so many things and I will never forget her. She was an amazing wife, mother and Grandma. She was sassy as hell and man, if she didn't like you, you definitely knew it. But if she did, you knew you had the most loyal person on your side. She was hysterically funny and I miss her everyday.
My mom. She is one of my best friends now and I know I can count on her no matter what. I love you mom.
My brother. Nick is my heart. I love him and he is just awesome, loyal, beautiful and one of my biggest supporters. I love you Nick! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
My other heroes are my friends. The friends that have been with me thru thick and thin, the ones who love me no matter what kind of crazy shit happens in my life. They are all a part of my heart and without them I am sure I would not have been able to get thru some of the darkest times of my life. I owe them all and they all rock.
