Jenny’s Birthday

About Me

Jenny's Birthday clatter out of South London with a heady mix of poppy guitar riffs, driving rhythms and frantic vocals that resonate the early years of Rock and Roll.

Sounds Like:

More infectious than a mexican pig farmer from THE coolest band playing the London circuit at the moment!

Will Chump (Southsea Mafia)

Infectious poppy, indie rock. With songs as good as 'Guns for Hire' and 'Soldier Blue' they are a step ahead of the multitude of other bands of their ilk. The harmony vocals of guitarists Ben and Joe compliment Chris’ lead. Stand out track was 'Mothers Son' which had Joe swapping his guitar for a piano accordion. Jenny's Birthday played an impressive, well paced set that didn't miss a beat – even when the drummer broke his snare.

John Hawes (eGigs.co.uk)

Jenny's Birthday are a 5 piece from South London who sound like Kings of Leon jamming with Billy Fury. It's really great to hear. There's a whole burgeoning scene that's finally beginning to cross over of young bands loving old time rock n' roll. That sort of slap back, really nice, old school sound that they've taken, worked on, and added their South London influences. And by all accounts they're shit hot live!

Gill Mills (i-Cast)

"Influenced by ’the wild west meeting 50s rock and roll’ we can’t help but feel we’ve seen a band that are not easily compared. Every song has been pain-stakingly composed and the three guitar attack at no point seems too much. They’re a tight knit band who can produce such striking material."

Lee Nickson

Jenny’s birthday have catchy melodies and poppy guitar riffs. They're part of the new breed trying to bring back “the early years of rock n roll” to the indie scene.
