Carcassette is the brainchild of psychotherapist Doktor Neugal whose illustrious career as ‘therapist to the stars’ has remained a closely guarded secret (until now). Using his vast experience in dealing with the human psyche, the venerable Doktor has invented a new type of music therapy which he calls ‘Anti-Music’, created by a process called ‘Decomposition’.
Subliminal messages are embedded in the tracks which are carefully designed to decrease ‘skull compression’ for those listeners suffering from ‘stress’ (e.g. office workers and housewives) whilst increasing it for those listeners suffering from ‘excessive happiness’ (e.g. born-again Christians and fans of Phil Collins) with the end result being ‘a state of balance’.
Doktor Neugal has enlisted the help of musician Steve Aungle, the former co-writer of Associates singer, Billy Mackenzie and after several months in the studio they have produced Carcassette’s debut album ‘Milk from the Garage’. The title track embodies the principles of Anti-Music and Decomposition: one chord, one bass note, distorted samples of ants feeding on a dead beetle, and no melody (except for a cameo appearance by Polish choirboy Kostic Borilla).
