We live in rural shropshire and like it, thank you very much!
We enjoy watching strange and interesting films from around the world and episodic american television (only on DVD, you understand - we won't be tied down to scheduled slots once a week).
Sven is currently training to be a counsellor, and funds this by working at BT as a data clense agent (think: agents off of the Matrix) by day, and a cool as F youth worker by night. He is also obsessed with Gran Tourismo.
Kirsty is nuts about films, and so has decided to become a Film studies teacher. She loves talking about movies, and can do so until someone tells her to shut up for being boring. However, jobs teaching film seem to be short on the ground in Shropshire at the moment (who knew?, so she teaches young rapscallions to spell and WRITE IN FULL SENTENCES.
We became a couple after fate introduced us in a Shrewsbury sandwich shop in early 2005.
We both proudly bear the label of 'geek' and can give a good kicking to anyone who says that geeks ain't cool.
Kirsty likes Cats. Sven likes dogs. But cos Kirsty is better at arguing than Sven we have a cute kitty with ADHD- Loki. Don't name your cats after gods, they invariably live up to their name. Loki is a serial butterfly killer.
Sven likes BMX. Kirsty thinks that hurling yourself around the place on anything with two wheels is likely to end up in a trip to hospital is probably best left to people who have better co-ordination than her.
Sven is interested in climbing rocks, cars that go fast, strategies to defeat zombies and has a particular interest in design.
Kirsty is interested in film theory(particularly feminist film theory), reading interesting books about strange and wonderful lands and anything occultyfied and running the race for life this summer in a respectable time.
We share a nearly obsessive interest in the unjustly cancelled television series 'Firefly' and it's film spin-off 'Serenity'. Every night before we go to bed, we pray to the gods of movie studios for a sequel.
