Growing vegetables. Festivals & live music. Travel. The varying hallucinogenic properties of sativa, psilocybin and lysergic acid diethylamide . Cognitive Psychology (which is handy after all that lot). Technology. Fractals .. ohhh look at the colours man!

Sir Roger Penrose, author of "The Emperor's New Mind: Concerning Computers, Minds, and The Laws of Physics" heavy going but bloody amazing!

Joni Mitchell - because I fell in love with her when I was 17 and never really grew out of it.

Kathy Burke - because she's just lovely - and this fella ..

DJ Shadow and a bit of Leonard Cohen. Also - Grateful Dead (acoustic stuff), Spoon (thanks Lann!), White Stripes, Flaming Lips -quite a lot of Psychadelic trance (particularly 'Hallucinogen') and Techno - Sven Vath .. that kinda thing. Love traditional folk music too, and bluegrass. And The Cure and New Order. And Nick Drake.

Currently reading 'If on a winter's night a traveller' (Italo Calvino) 8/10
A short history of tractors in Ukranian (Marina Lewycka) 9/10 .. very funny
A long way down (Nick Hornby) 7/10
One big damn puzzler (John Harding) 7/10
Slaughterhouse 5 (Kurt Vonnegut) 10/10 .. my kinda book that one!
Blink (Malcolm Gladwell) 8/10 .. just buy it, you won't regret it
True history of the Kelly gang (Peter Carey) 8/10
Round Ireland with a Fridge (Tony Hawks) 6/10 ... it only worked becuase of the publicity he got 'cos he was already a 'celeb'
