About Me

My natural personalilty does so much better in Italy. Everything is laid back there, and their lives revolve around food and coffee. A two hour lunch, with wine and dessert, in the middle of the work day? No problem!I moved to New York from Chicago in September on a whim, I'm a fan of doing things on whims. So far I really like it here. For some reason I get asked for directions all the time, like at least once a day, I'm not really sure why. People never asked me for directions in Chicago, but in New York somehow I must really look like I know where I am going, although I rarely do know.

My Interests

travel, photography, coffee (in my life coffee is an interest), books, theater, movies, hanging out, people watching, watching dogs at the dog park, drinks in outdoor venues

I'd like to meet:

Lion tamers, Super Heros, Professional Breakdancers, Grifters, people who's names begin with "Q," or "X"...

Music:

Ray LaMontange is my new rock star boyfriend. I also love Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Jackson Five, James Brown, there is a little soul in the heart of this white girl. I love any music that is good, it's generic but true.

Movies:

Life is Beautiful, Garden State, In America, Amalie, June Bug, Good Will Hunting (anything with Matt Damon, my actor boyfriend in it). I have a special place in my heart for Labrynth, Muppets Take Manhattan, Sixteen Candles, Goonies, Back to the Future and Clueless.

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, The Daily Show, America's Next Top Model (sadly I'm not kidding). I've recently moved from an apartment with cable and tivo to an apartment with neither, we'll see how that goes. I think I'll be ok, I'm looking forward to finishing a book again.

Books:

How about authors? Eggers (my writer boyfriend), Salinger, Lethem, Marquez, Hornby, Foer, I just realized I have no women, Horrible! B. Smith, Z. Smith, Vowel, the woman who wrote "Time Traveler's Wife," Audry Neffiger (sorry if I murdered the spelling of your name) why do I feel like I am sturggling to come up with good, current day, female writers? Damn Chick-Lit.
