About Me
Do you have a record label? if so, listen our unreleased track!!! :-)
The music project SOUTHEAST is formed by PAUL HUBISS and JERGEN. Their interest in music came up when they were still very young - both started playing Guitar and Piano at the age of 9, a couple of years later they would start making music with a primitive computer software running on DOS.
This duo has been performing LIVE ACTs for 3 years, but even before that they would share ideas and music experiences when playing with their toys, a hardware system consisted by Yamaha CS1x + Yamaha rm1X + Roland MC-505 + Roland MC-909. At the present professional computer softwares like Cubase and Ableton also take important part in the stage.
The main characteristic of their tracks is the melodic atmosphere built over techno beats, which can also be found in their DJ sets defined by some as Neaples Sound (Vigorito, Carola, Cerrone, Parisio),
The year 2004 was the bomb for this talented duo. It began with an invitation to perform at Moravias the second biggest outdoor festival Veveà 2004 (2000 people) organized by the biggest internet music server in Czech Republic, www.rave.cz. In addition, every artist was asked to point a producer to make the anthem of Veveà Festival, also an internet survey was organized by www.rave.cz. and the result showed Jergen a Paul Hubiss at first and second place. The track was arranged and succesfully drove the crowd insane.
Duo to an unexpectable positive feedback of their performance by artists, friends and the crowd, many bookings came along including a request to play at one of the most respected indoor party Revolution where both performed alongside Luke Slater for nealry 2500 people!! They regularly play at Fléda which at the present time is together with Roxy the most respected and visited club in the country.
One of the most important icon and pioneer of Czechs eletronic music scene, promoter of the biggest outdoor festival in Czech Republic Summer of Love, Ale Bleha, added 2 of their tracks to the XMAGs CD compilation (biggest eletronic music magazine in CR 20.000 copies). This compilation also presented names such as Miss Kittin, Alter Ego, Chris Liebing and Umek. DJane Lucca (Definition Records) used 4 of their tracks on her mixed CD compilation prepared for Gamestar magazine and regularly plays them wherever she performs.
Due to their advanced music production knowledge both have been invited to work together in studio by DJ Orbith (winner of Czechs top DJ in the year 2002 and one of the most booked Djs in CR) and the brazilian DJ and producer Marcelo K2 aka The Pusher! (Advanced Records, Giant & Dwarf).
Dont miss them!!!
