About Me
Currently a resident DJ at Rise Danceclub in Northbridge (Perth, Australia) on Fri and Sat nights, Rousa plays house/electro, trance, hard dance and happy hardcore to the masses every week. He also performs guest spots at various places midweek.
Rousa is one of a select few DJs in Australia to be picked by ARIA to be a contributor to their weekly club chart and is an official judge for the ARIA Awards.
He is also the current holder of Perth's Best Hardcore DJ according to the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 Perth Dance Music Awards . He was voted 2nd in the Best Hard Dance DJ category. In 2008, he was voted the 7th most popular Western Australian DJ in the Australia wide Technics ITM Top 50 poll .
Throughout his career, Rousa has supported many international and interstate acts including Pendulum, Anne Savage, Hixxy, Scott Brown, and Public Domain. The majority of the time, he is selected to either the warm up set or the follow on set.
Professionally DJing since 1994, he got his first residency at the Geraldton Rollerdrome. Since then he has been a resident and guest at many clubs across the state including Metropolis (Perth & Fremantle), Monkey Bar/Capitol (Perth), Area 1 (Bunbury), Club A (Scarborough), Circuit (Geraldton), Heaven (Albany) and Pulse (Kalgoorlie).
In the past, Rousa has also been a rave DJ and played countless primetime sets at raves for all of Perths biggest promoters including XS Productions, Ruffknite, Outbreed, and F.O.R.C.E.
