About Me

FORCING HIS OPINIONS ONTO OTHERS SINCE 1978, Noah Bonaparte now does so en masse, as a music critic for the Philadelphia-based quarterly MAGNET and staff writer at New Orleans' alt-weekly Gambit. Bonaparte, a latecomer 504 Boy, is also a fierce rep of the University of Florida College of Journalism (doesn't recall a single class), an obsessive-yet-deluded fan of partisan politics (doesn't get the issue with Kucinich: "If only the pint-sized vegans voted") and a former classical pianist with a penchant for Beethoven sonatas (doesn't remember a single measure). He contributes words about pop culture to quality publications and keeps up with his indomitable Gators, the marvel of malolactic fermentation and both art house and summer shlock cinema in equal measure. Noah Bonaparte likes Costner films a little more than he cares to admit.
