On May 10, 1986 in Abington, Philadelphia a beautiful little baby girl by the name of Naimah Romaine Daye was born. Dada was her first word, and later Jesus Loves Me was her first public song, at the gentle age of six in front of the congregation of the 8th Street Baptist Church. It was at this moment that her gift of singing was recognized and her lifes passion awaken. Her inimitable vocal style is trend setting.
Raised in New Castle County, Wilmington, Delaware, now residing in Dover, this creative artist has always had an impact in her community at large. While in Polytech High School, as a freshman, Naimah pursued her second passion of dance and successfully lead an enthusiastic dance team and powerful drill squad. Always up to date with the hottest dance moves she skillfully draws from various genres to develop her own unique style. She has touched and inspired the hearts of many through beautiful song and in her performances at various talent shows, a couple of weddings, and a funeral.
Naimah is the personification of intellectual beauty and this is evident in both her appearance and music. This vocalist is very positive, focused, and generous. This quote best describes latter of the three personality traits, If there is something a person wants all they have to do is ask and if I have it I have no problem with giving it. Music is her life and optimism, faith, understanding as well as a little laughter have been her best tools in accomplishing her goals thus far.
Sky is the limit for this 20 year old and there is no stopping her. Now singing and dancing like no other there is no predicting what Naimah will do next. In her words, Any thing is possible; life is too short, so you should never give up; go for what you want and be satisfied with what you get!
