I love the dramatic arts. I'm involved with our drama team at church and never imagined serving God could be so much fun or so rewarding. I also enjoy writing and have tried my hand at writing some drama scripts. The lastest thing I'm trying is fencing. My son has been doing it for a couple of years, and I thought it would be a great way to spend more time with him. I'm still very new at it but I find it fascinating - plus, it's an awesome workout.
My Grandfather. He died the month before I was born. My mother has told me wonderful stories about him. I look forward to meeting him in heaven one day.
I listen to Christian Pop/Rock and Worship music mostly... but as I've gotten older I find I also enjoy listening to the music of the late 70's and early 80's - brings back interesting memories.
I don't see a lot of movies until they are released on DVD. (The results of being married to a frugal husband...) However, some of my favorites are "Roxanne" with Steve Martin, "Somewhere in Time" with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve, and anything directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
I don't watch a lot of TV. But when I do I enjoy mysteries of any kind... just nothing too gorey. I also like watching the food channel and HGTV. Boring, I know...
Again, I like mysteries, or historical fiction.
My Mom and my Uncle Joe. My Mom continues to be one of the most wonderful examples of grace, love, and patience that I have ever seen. My Uncle Joe never knew a stranger, was witty, wise, loved his Lord, and he was a seasoned teacher of life's lessons. I will always remember his tanned, wrinkled, kind face - which testified to his many experiences on this earth - from a mischevious school boy, to a WWII soldier, to a hard working farmer and husband. And probably the best thing about him was that he was my mom's hero. Enough said.
