The black stripe in the middle of the flag is indicative of the dedication of the people joined by one strong bond. It also represents strength, unity, and purpose. The red represents the vitality of the people as well as the warmth and the energy from the sun, and the courage of the natives. The white bordering the black symbolizes the sea and the purity of aspirations for the equality of all people.
