JUNIOR T has set out to bring more underground music back into the limelight, and push the message of Roots music to the masses.He came into the interest of music at a young age from the influence of his parents and brother through attending a number of festivals, music events and having music such as Reggae playing in the back-round of his household as a youngster. After grasping a taste for particular genre's of music he begun to take an interest in Garage, or Grime as it later came to be known. It was then that he took a liking towards the art of Djing and became a keen collector of music.His family soon started to realize that this hobby was becoming stronger and for his 14th Birthday he received a set of turntables from his brother who had always been a massive influence on his musical development.Over this space of time he become more and more interested in the vibe and message in which roots music and reggae carries. Time moved along and JUNIOR T came to realize that the message some MC's were pushing in Grime was a complete different vibe to Deejays/singers in the Reggae scene. He then packed one of his turntables away, and swapping his hi-fi for an amplifier and a more distinctive homemade speaker box, sold his records and took an interest in starting a new collection of Reggae.The sound system culture has always been a fascinating thing to JUNIOR T and he was lucky enough to see his brother have the time and motivation to create his own sound system. This pushed him even more to play out and to promote the message behind the music by playing at a number of parties among friends, and in small venues in his hometown.Keen on taking his interest in music further he realised radio is the way.
