Here are some frequently asked questions I
have experienced working as a Hypnotherapist.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is altered awareness. While
under hypnosis our subconscious mind is more open and receptive to hypnotic
suggestions. Hypnosis is no different than driving down the road and
"zoning out" and then coming back to driving, maybe a few miles down
the road. Information is still absorbed on a subliminal level as well as
consciously. I will work with you to help you achieve what ever change you
desire.
Will I be sleeping when I'm
hypnotized? Under hypnosis you
will usually be aware of everything around you and everything my voice is
saying. However, you might be so deeply relaxed that you drift in and out of
different levels of consciousness. Your subconscious mind is always listening
even if your conscious mind is somewhere else.
Will I remember the hypnosis
afterwards?
What you remember will depend upon how
deeply you are hypnotized. Most people remember at least some of the session.
Usually the spontaneous suggestions will pop into your awareness when you need
it the most.
