Louis Antwi is Tru Deep. Origin is an alter ego he uses solely for MySpace and just because it sounds cool. Origin also relates to a solo track Tru Deep is producing called the Original Whisper. Born in 1990, he is now 17 and currently in full time education at Newham Sixth Form College. Louis lives in East London with his family of two different cultures; one side white British, the other black Ghanaian. A keen writer, Louis is a performance poet, short storyist (as opposed to novelist) and is looking into script writing. He has performed in the Lynk Reach London Teenage Poetry SLAM 2004, Malika's Kitchen in Chicago and at the launch of Chris Ofili's Freeness. In 2005 Louis was also commisioned to write a piece for Chris Ofili's latest exhibition The Blue Rider. The piece "Blu and Silva" appeared in the Turner Prize winning artist's catalogue that was published alongisde the exhibition. Louis recently completed a commission for the Commission for Racial Equality, the finished piece was also performed by Louis in Westminster Hall, Houses of Parliament.
