My name is Bob I was born and raised in Lorain, Ohio. I had a very normal childhood, much like the Clevers LOL. I joined the army in April of 1975. I went to Fort Polk, Louisiana for my basic training and to Germany for my regular duty station. When I got out I met up with a High School sweetheart, and got married not long after. I worked at American Ship Building Company. We built the big ore freighters. I was an iron worker and in that line of work there are alot of lay offs so you tend to job hop alot. I was a fabricator and a welder. I am a certified welder and a certified robotic welder programmer. I finally got me a good job LOL. at ford motor company. Well then I was able to afford my toys, boat, new car, and new 4X4, and my Harley. Well I had a bad motorcycle accident one night on July 11th. of 1992 I got hit head on by an 85 mustang. I was going about 60mph. at the point of contact and it was luckly only going about 20 to 25 mph. He was in my lane when I got to the top of a hill and i never even had a chance to hit my brakes. I got pretty busted up but recovered pretty good. I went the year after and had some metal removed from my body . Then the following year a I went to get more out. I had a major stroke one month after that operation. And had to learn to walk all over again just like a child. I recovered very well from that. My wife and I had 3 children together Kelly, my eldest daughter who is now 28, Sarah my middle child who is 26, and my Son Jason who is now 22. Kelly has 2 beautiful children and is married to one of the most wonderful men on this earth at least what I know of him LOL. Sarah Is also married and has 3 beautiful children and a very good man also. And my son Jason isn't married yet but is living with his girlfriend and they have a child together, She is a fantastic woman and my son is a good man. I was married to my wife for just shy of 21 years. Then we got a divorce. She has her story and I have mine, and I'll just leave that right there. I moved out on my own, and met someone she came to visit me and never went home. I didn't really Love her like a man should love his woman but I loved her in a caring nurturing way. Her mom and dad had both passed and the rest of her family more aless didn't recognise her. I don't know why she was a really sweet person with some problems that I cared about very much and felt the need to help her cos nobody else would, I loved her like a sister. She had some psychological problems from some things that some members of her family had put her through and continued to treat her bad I guess cos of the guilt for what they had done to her. She tried to kill herselfe several times and she wasn't messing around. No little scratches on her wrists she had gouges, she was for real, not for sympathy. Also some major medical problems and was getting jacked around by a bunch of welfare quack doctors. We got married and I was still working at ford. Well shortly after we got married ford more aless let me go because of medical problems mostly dizzyness it's called vertigo it was from the stroke. I got tired of fighting with them and I got my car reposessed. trying to keep up the 1,250 dollar a month child support while on medical. Well I got a beater van and my new wife and I took off we put our finger on the map and picked Bandon Oregon. And went there. I worked here and there picking up gas and food money. Thank god for the need of welders LOL. Anyway to make this long azz story a little shorter we traveled through Louisiana and then up to Sioux Falls South Dakota. And settled there for a couple years. Then came back to Ohio I got us into apartment management. Now we had insurance again cos her problem was getting bad. She had to have 2 sections of her colon removed and we managed to get that taken care of. So she was all patched up and I felt like it's my turn now and I told her I had to go. And explained to her how I felt about her and she understood and was appreciative for what I had helped her accomplish. We still talk from time to time and she is still doing good. We were married for 5 years, lived separated for 2 years and just got our divorce this past july. I was working at a welding shop in southern Ohio and hurt my back. A friend said, Bob why don't you file for Veterans Disability Pension, So I figured what the heck may as well try and I had a check in the mail within 6 weeks. That was 2 years ago. I have been struggling along ever since. Having to live with room mates to be able to make ends meet. Well anyway another problem I found I was running into is women. Man when you get to be in your 40's it is hard to find a woman that hasent been psychologically screwed up by other men. I mean there are so many abusive men out there both physically and psychologically abusive. I'm tellin ya it is hard to find a woman in her 40's that ain't screwed up. I would like to meet 1/2 of the men who were in the lives of the women I have been meeting cos I'd like to spit some beachnut in their eye and shoot them with my old 45 as Hank Jr. would say. Man If you are one of those abusive bastards stop it or go shoot yourselfe or come see me and I'll do it. Anyway I rambled on long enough Bye.....
There are millions of people on myspace and all over the net. If you can pass this on to your friends list and they can pass it on to theirs, we can make sure that people who are in abusive situations, or in crisis, or who just want to talk know exactly what is there to help them. The holidays are upon us and many people end up in a weird place for the holidays, especially people who, for one reason or another, feel estranged from their families. Knowing who to talk to for help can sometimes make the difference.
Thanks in advance!!
