Ok, about me, I'm currently 27 years old, and I grew up in a little town called Bauple ("bopple"), about 2.5 hours north of Brisbane. Bauple is where macadamia nuts were originally found, by the way :0) I went to primary school in Bauple, high school at James Nash SHS in Gympie (we lived 40 minutes away, so that's not SO bad..), then moved to Brisbane to go to uni (UQ St Lucia!). 3 years later I finished a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Geology and Earth Science. Then I did another year and got my Honours degree in Geology :0), then went and got a job in the middle of nowhere :0( The work's really interesting though (if you like looking at rocks..). I've worked underground, as well as surface coal mines and exploration areas, but I definitely prefer the sunlight! I work doing training and data quality control at the moment (read: fixing other people's crap work), but I still get the chance to get out into the bush and get amongst it, which is always a good break from staring at a computer screen.
Hmm, what else.. I like playing sport, and watching it on tv wondering what life would be like if I was talented enough to get paid to run around kicking a ball instead of working for the man. I love pizza (thanks, ninja turtles), and I could sit and eat corn chips and salsa all day. I love good music, but I haven't met many people with a taste similar to mine. I play guitar a bit, and I need to do it more often. I wish that there was more love and trust in the world, but I know that won't happen. I tend to be a pretty happy person, and I think that my bizarre love of sad and depressing songs is what keeps me from bouncing off the walls all day long :0)
