About Me

Hello imaginary, Myspace cyber-chums. My name is Samuel Gannaway. Feel free to refer to me as 'Sam' or 'Samuel' or 'Ganners' as some people do. I have reached the grand age of 18, therefore I'm an adult. I'm at the mighty Thomas Alleyne School right now. Year 13. Right top of the school. Unfortunately, many of the ruffians in the lower years don't heed this age difference as a warning and just lob abuse at me anyway. Theres a photo in my picture folder from when a group of children doused my in water. I enjoy many of the typical pursuits of a teenage lad. I like music (Bloc Party in particular) ,but my tastes do expand beyond moody indie-folk. I like the ol' football. West Ham is my team. I think they'll finish 6th this year, and win the Uefa Cup next season. Sorted. My money comes to me in return for me giving up 8 hours of my Saturday at Dunelm Mill. I used to hate it but I think its allright now. There are some levely people there and I've made plenty of new friends. I'm on the bedding department and if any of you want any bedding, I'll sort you out. If anyone messes with the bedding department, a turf war will ensue. Off to university in September (if all goes to plan). Will be studying a nice bit of Television Production. I have four offers but its probably going to be between Southampton and Gloucestershire. However, if I'm going to get to any Uni, I'll have to do OK in the ol' exams... which is unlikely. In the war of FIFA vs PRO-EVO, I side with FIFA. If anyone wants to take me on, bring it. In career mode I'm currently Accrington Stanley in League 2. I'm gunna take 'em to the Premiership. Just you watch. I like reading interesting books when I get a chance. Stuff that makes me think 'bout the ol' life and existance. And books about footballers and football related stuff. 'Woody & Nord' for example. 'S good. I like going to parties in nice places. I like a little boogy aswell sometimes. Going to gigs is another good way to waste time before I die. There's been some good'uns over the years. All-sorts going on in them. I want to be wealthy one day. Soon if possible. Then I can buy things and try things and go places and aquire all these lovely materialistic things that will make me happy. Then I'll become attractive to women. But I want to loose it all before I die. 'Cause then my tragic story can be made into a book or a film or something and I'll become one of those people who are more famous after their death than when they were alive.

My Interests

Ineresting people. Interesting music. Books that I find amusing or enlightening. Comedy and comedians, I respect them guys for getting up there. Interesting films. Like, either ones that are really action packed and macho and loud, or ones that make you think and aren't that linear. I love them works by Karl Marx, great stuff that is. And casual nihilism really gets me going. I like going running although I havn't done it in yonks.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet some of my favourite musicians 'cause I amdire and respect them and they might be interesting characters. Kele Okereke for example. And Morrissey because he's really cool and prolific and old. And Patrick Wolf 'cause he's really wierd and 'out there' i suppose. Meeting Matt Morgan would be a nice thing to do because if I had to pick a favourite famous person he'd be it. He is very funny and sounds like my kinda guy. I would have to try not to kiss him. I would like to meet anonymous artist Bansky just 'cause it'd be mysterious and I could get some ideas for a Banksy-inspired design to do all over the wall of the school hall. That'd show 'em!

Music:

I'll just name a few that are currently ticking around the old brainbox as to avoid a huge, long list that no one will read. Bloc Party, MIA, Snow Patrol, Klaxons, Richard Hawley, Cajun Dance Party, Patrick Wolf, Morrissey. There, that'll do for now.

Movies:

Crash, Sideways, Shawshank Redemption, 300, Shaun of the Dead, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Spider-man Trilogy, i Robot, Transformers, I am Legend, Love Actually. To name but a few.

Television:

Mighty Boosh, Neighbours, Extras, The Office, Hollyoaks, Simpsons, Ed, The Late Edition, Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Wife Swap, Top Gear, Oz & James Big Wine Adventure, Lead Balloon, I'm Alan Patridge, Sky Sports News, Countdown, Look Around You, My Name Is Earl

Books:

Less Than Zero, Woody & Nord, David Ellary: The Man in the Middle, Digital Fortress, No.1 Ladies Detective Agency, The Captain Underpants series, The Righteous Men, A Beginners Guid To Reality, '20 Years With Brian Clough-As Long As You Don't Kiss Me'.

Heroes:

The lads, Russell Brand, Russell Howard, Matt Morgan, Jon Richardson, Kele Okereke, Noel Fielding, Juilian Barratt (No one ask him about his kids), Armando IannucciThis man...in this film...
