wReck & HaddockSteven originally started a discobar with his brother. He was always interested in elec-music, so he began playing with 2 turntables. After a while he started playing more techno-orientated music. Being behind the turntables for years he started playing Techno/Tech-House under the alias Rare. Under this name he has played in Axion in Geel (First Techno Dome), Den Hemel in Zichem, Zoo in Hasselt, Silo in Leuven and many more. During all this time he kept an interest in D’n’B and bought the matching records. He plays D’n’B under the name wReck.Koen first started playing techno. After the Dj-course in JH Bogaard in Geel, he doubted if D’n B wasn’t the thing for him. He went to Pukkelpop that same year where Wontime opened and there his doubts disappeared, he began spinning D’n’B. A couple of years passed spinning at friends basements before he made his first public appearance in JH Phoenix under the name Haddock, in collaboration with wReck, which he knew from the Youth movement.After this party they began playing more and more as a duo at events such as The Moulin rouge festival, 2 many DJs at the faar, We love bass at jh De Nok, Shakedown at villicus, Droppin’ pressure at Den Hemel. Recently they became ‘We love bass’ residents.They started with jump-up but there tastes got wider. They’ve started both to turn more tech oriented & amen based tracks.
