About Me

ART I MISS, RICHIE MILES & OPTIMUS PRYME
With certain limitations placed on "Black" athletes during the 1940's, center fielder RICHIE MILES and backup catcher ART I MISS both found great success in the segregated world of Baseball. Due to certain political outbursts and frequent drunken shananigans in local pubs, RICHIE and ART I MISS were soon banned from the Baseball world (ironically, shortly after Jackie Robinson's acceptance into Major League Baseball).
Now unemployed, RICHIE and ART I MISS went back to their academic roots, and re-enrolled at Bayside High. Here, they both acceled in various athletic and musical courses. Performing on the Baseball squad and the new "Glee Club", THE BAYSIDE TIGERS quickly began winning over the hearts and souls of black and white, alike.
However, RICHIE and ART I MISS felt there was something missing from the schools Glee Club; the one missing component that could catapult the BAYSIDE TIGERS into stardom. After performing in the school gymnasium one sunny Teusday afternoon, RICHIE heard melodic sobbing coming from the corner of the gymnasium. RICHIE asked the Bayside mascot "why didn't you try out for the glee club?" The teary eyed mascot replied "beacause I'm white and wouldn't be accepted by everyone." ART I MISS and RICHIE both felt that the mascot, who went by the name of OPTIMUS PRYME, was the missing link to state titles and a possible music contract. For his own safety, OPTIMUS felt it would be best to keep his identity a secret, and till this day still chooses to keep on his Bayside tiger mask.
The Bayside Tigers would soon gain noteriety from legendary artists such as Rod Stewart, Frank Darby and Weird Al Yankovick, to name a few. This helped the Bayside Tigers focus there efforts on music full-time. Without furthur adues, ladies and gentlemen, please welcom the BAYSIDE TIGERS!!!
