My name is Devin Leclair I like music and driving of course I am in the army so much fun (yeah right) I like to party, have fun and go out with my friends every night and think of this everyday.... Many sleep in warm beds, we sleep in the cold dirt. Some worry about traffic on their way to work, we worry about getting blown up, while we work. You hear about gunfire on the news, we see it with our own two eyes. Many complain about working an extra hour, we may get extended 3 more months. Some of you may not see your families for days or weeks, we don't see ours for at least 12 months. You might complain about eating left overs, it might be days until we get another hot meal. Many get woken up by passing cars, we get woken up by explosions and gun fire. You complain when its in the 90's, we do our job in 130 degrees weighing 250 lbs with our gear. Many spend the holidays with their families, we spend the holidays behind enemy lines. Some watch out who their kids play with, we watch out for kids with guns. Some get tired of walking to their cars in the parking lot, we do dismounted patrols for hours. We do what we do so others wont have to. We don't ask for much, just a little love and appretiation. So the next time you see the Red, White and Blue, remember the men and women risking their lives for you!.
