BIOGRAPHY????
I got into dancing back in Junior High school actually, because my teacher asked each of us to come up with a short performance or show for our school’s anniversary party. I chose to impersonate the most popular dance crew in Taiwan at that time, LA BOYZ, not even being aware that the type of dance they did was called bboying haha.
After the performance, I realized that dancing was actually very fun, and so I started to practice with a friend during each 10 minute break between class and during other breaks…that friend was also my first teacher.
In 1996, I was part of founding TBC (The Best Crew), and its members reached about 20 or so. For many big battles both nationally and internationally, TBC had been invited to either enter in the battle itself, or for special performances, for example, special battles with international bboys, or to just session with them, and exchange knowledge etc. In 2004, TBC won BOTY Thailand and got to compete in the international final in Germany. Being part of that event had a huge impact on me; it changed my way of looking and thinking about bboying drastically. I caused me to be even more driven and focused about everything related to bboys and bboying when I returned to Taiwan. It also sparked many Taiwanese bboy events to invite me as a judge or to battle. After leaving TBC in 2004, I joined HRC as both a member and shareholder at the end of 2004.
I love the vibe of everyone dancing together, which has kept me dancing and practicing at least 4 hours a day for the past 10 years. Today I am a proprietor of HRC Studio, and so besides being a bboy, I have also started organizing bboy events, with the most recent one being Armory Cup Taiwan. In this way I am hoping to help promote and improve Taiwan’s bboying environment, strength and skills.
