Out of the frying pan and into the fire

About Me

So, I guess here I am, apparently one of the last people in the United States to appear on MySpace... I have two little girls that mean the world to me. I was married for 6 years until we seperated in June of this year. I would do anything for my friends and family (which to me are often synonymous). I consider myself to be someone that a friend can count on to be there when they need me. I work in the financial services industry (Bank of America), pretty much all I can say is that it is a job... it isn't all that exciting, but it can be interesting at times. I've had a crazy year... I am definitely looking to try to make things a little more calm.

My Interests

Music, Movies, Baseball, Football, and Poker (among other things that just completely escape me at the moment). I guess I just like to surround myself with good people and hang out, talking about everything and nothing at the same time.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet people who share similar interests. More than anything I think I'd really like to meet my someone...

Music:

Anything and everything. You can catch me listening to anything from the Black Eyed Peas to Eminem to Panic! at the Disco. There isn't too much that I don't like, and I'll definitely try anything.

Movies:

Forrest Gump, The Usual Supsects, Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs... I can enjoy a good date movie as well, but mostly if the company is good.

Television:

Seinfeld is my absolute fave. The Family Guy is my current favorite. I think that TV has really taken a turn for the worse since the whole Reality TV craze hit.

Books:

Anything by John Grisham, except for The Chamber... I've never been able to get into that one. I read a lot of Bill James (Baseball statistical analysis mostly). I enjoy a good book, but I must admit that I haven't kept up with the reading over the past couple of years.

My Blog

LIfe is Like Texas Hold'em

Now I know that comparing life to anything is horribly cliche', but I'm going to do it anyway.  I've grown to enjoy playing poker... yeah, I'm one of those guys that caught on after they started ...
