Update (for those who were wondering):
The band is no longer together. We truly appreciate everyone who supported our work and helped us along the way (you know who you are). Ryan and Anthony are currently working on a new project called Conway Jackson. If you'd like to check them out just do a quick search for them here on Myspace. When Caleb, Amy, or Matt have new groups or music in the works we'll post some links here so you can get a listen.
Love you all, ladies and gents. Thanks for everything.

CYCS began songwriting in ’06 with a line-up of bassist Matt Crystal, and tuba extraordinaire Caleb Parker. When discovered earth-shattering tuba lines didn’t really match up in the post-hardcore and pop-punk genres, Caleb gladly agreed to fill in for lead vocals. Soon after, they decided it was time to take a few more steps, and recruited a young, talented lead guitarist, Ryan Gariglietti. Ryan, relying line on speed and creative ingenuity, gave the band’s sound a bite that is reminiscent of 80’s metal and now popular progressive rock bands. The next came in the form of Anthony Crespino, the quiet and inventive state university drummer focusing on imaginative beat variety and engaging rhythms. After several shows and deliberations the foursome felt like something was missing. After some heavy thought, they realized that "the" Amy Hoffman was not a member of the band! Jumping on their scooters they quickly raced to Joplin, Missouri and kidnapped her. Amy then agreed to use her undeniable charm, glass shattering vocals, and adept rhythm guitar licks to take help take their music to the next level.
Thus began and ended a year and a half-long process of song construction based on their varied musical influences ranging from 90’s rock and emo/punk waves to the newest core, pop, and experimental sounds.
Knowing personal adversity throughout their own lives, they decided to be a band that listeners would find a positive, up-lifting message in; to create a place in their headphones and concert venues where they could just let go. Caleb displays this passion in their music on and off stage in his heartfelt lyrics, interactive vocal styles, and the love for people who come out to support them. Always promising their best to bring audiences an energetic and fun-filled show, Colors You Can’t See hopes to make a mark on you and everyone you know with the release of their latest EP.
