Greetings in Christ! My name is Vickie (Borgfeld)Cross and Im following the Lord on an incredible musical journey. With my heart and roots set deep in a small south Texas town, God has miraculously delivered me onto an international forum. My dreams of a career in music began when I was just a little girl. When my parents drove into the city, I would secretly play my Daddys guitar. At the age of 15, my father gave me a guitar of my own and I carried it everywhere I went. But somehow my life evolved as most girls do -- graduating from high school, getting married, and earning a living. After years of struggling with my weight as well as closing the door on a marriage that ended, I met my true soul mate, Darvin. We have been married now for 23 years. Although I've never had a child born of my body...I have had many born in my heart.Through His grace and guidance, the Lord led Darvin and I to foster more than 70 children within a 14 year period. My husband and I also adopted 2 great kids named Jennifer and Nathan. We now have two granddaughters, Jade and Kennedy, as well as a huge extended family of many colors and religions.I reached a major turning point in my life and I realized that even though Christ was leading the way, it was up to ME to take up my own spiritual cross into a singing career. Although it seemed like a simple task to do for most people, it wasn't as easy for me because I'm not your average cowgirl. I worried what people would think about a large-size, middle-aged lady trying to live the goals and aspirations of a much younger woman. I know that in Christ, "all things are possible," and His divine promises inspired me to pursue my dream. That vision is now a reality in my life. I also understood that besides blessing me with the gift of music, God had given me the opportunity to influence and inspire others to pursue their dreams by watching me use what He has given me.

My next prayer is that a Major Record Company would see the talent God gave me and want to sign me to their label. I have written many more songs that I am sure would touch the hearts and lives of the average everyday folks.I love to sing the "oldies" and after hearing me...most folks say that Patsy Cline is still alive! I have a vast selection of songs to sing; both country and gospel. My first CD (COUNTRY SUNSHINE) consists of 16 country 'oldies'. My song "Somebody's Girl" charted #3 on the God's Country International Top 100 Chart and the CD has 12 additional songs of Country and Gospel favorites. 10% of all my CD sales ALWAYS goes to support WORLD HUNGER RELIEF. I share my gift of music by freely singing for charities and fundraisers for worthy causes. You may contact me at my home (361)564-3909 or (361)655-0450 for booking information. My direct E-MAIL address is [email protected] believe the Lord instills within each of us special talents and abilities. And I know from experience that it is"NEVER TOO LATE" to take up your own cross where the Lord leads you. By faith the Lord guided me to what I am doing now. To me, my song stands for my journey with God. A personal crossing that has traversed through happiness and heartache, as well as failure and success. This song represents who I am: plain, simple, humble... and forever...... "Somebody's Girl". plain layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com MyHotComments
