We are a cover band from Calgary. We make money playing other people's songs. Does that make us whores? A little bit. Read on... Silly Wrabbit is band that has been around(ish) for 12 years. It started out as a joke against fellow Calgary band Raw Trixx, who eventually became Curious George. The original lineup consisted of Brad and Shane from the Ritual and Graham Tuson and Brian Miller from Pez. Mike and Jarret had left the Ritual to join Raw Trixx, so Brad figured it would be funny to throw a band together and name it Silly Wrabbit, with the catch phrase "Trixx are for kids". Get it? We made up shirts and learned a whack of tunes and played a few gigs at Chaplin's, selling out of 2 different runs of shirts. What started out as a joke seemed to be anything but. Brad ended up forming a Kiss tribute called Black Diamond, and toured western Canada for a while before coming back to Calgary and re-forming Silly Wrabbit. The new, and some consider first actual "real" lineup, due to the original lineup only playing a few shows here and there, consisted of Brad, JD Ekstrom, Glen Wilson and Kevin Perrett. They set up shop at Chaplin's and pretty much became the house band, playing at least once a month as well as hosting Sunday jams. The band made trips all around Alberta and had quite a following. Eventually Kevin snapped and the band more or less disbanded. Brad went on to play with Domino Theory, (Dave, Scott and Craig) which rocked Calgary for a few years, managing to release a CD (the tracks featured above), before singer/guitar player Dave left the band. Brian joined as Dave's replacement, and the name Domino Theory stuck with them until Scott decided to leave as well. He was replaced by Vance, and Domino Theory became Silly Wrabbit. Vance lasted for a year and a half and then we snatched up Sebastion, who really added a huge voice and solid drumming to the band. We continued on as that lineup for some time, until we had to let Craig go in December of 2004 (Which is when Jamie Landry filled in for a month, and was an honorary Wrabbit). Brad contacted Jamie Warren, whom he had played with years before in Dr.Strange, and agreed to join the band, which is where we stand now, Brad on bass, Brian on guitar, Sebastion on drums and Jamie on guitar. It is still funny to see the Silly Wrabbit shirts that were from 1994!
