I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Friendly, girly and well-meaning but slightly loud, dappy and crazy caffeine freak/cheap wine connoisseur who says "bless" all the time, always up for good times and giggles. Im something of a lady of two halves, both bubbly but deeply shy, crazy but levelheaded, demure but trashy, happy-go-lucky but intense, filthy but gorgeous! Studied journalism at college, any scandals i can write about peeps??!! Now working in London Victoria as an editorial assistant/comms officer/event organiser/general dogsbody

My Interests

drinking, dancing, dressing up, shopping, hanging out with my lovely lovely boyfriend and friends, going to gigs, listening to music, disgracing myself on telly, playing music/singing, moaning about work, baking amazing cakes (see 'my pics'!),just generally mooching around. My fave places to be are London and Oxford but im usually too skint to break free from the hellhole i call home :(

I'd like to meet:

Anyone up for a natter really! I seem to have opinions on just about everything... and people tell me i'm a good listener too?!? long distance friendships always nice but if you live in the Buckinghamshire area you're in luck (or should that be misfortune!?!) - so do I!! See you down the 'Lope ;) Like minded, sensitive and slightly off the wall individuals most welcome, but if you're in a band, please message me first, I'm happy to add music I like (especially anyone from oxford or the wyc!) but WILL NOT add stuff I'm not into (eg r+b, hiphop, metal, emo!). I predict a riot....

Music:

I'll give most things a listen, of any era or genre (as long as its not naff, lacking in talent or too heavy on my ickle ears) but am pretty much an indie kid at heart. The Fourth Chamber (check em out!), The Beatles, Blondie, Boy Kill Boy, Graham Coxon, Bloc Party, Eels, Interpol, Green Day, The Subways, Hot hot heat, Elliott Smith, Idlewild, Battle, Nick Drake, 9 black alps, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Sigur Ros, We are Scientists, Editors, Magic Numbers, early Manics, Dogs die in hot cars, The Kinks, The Cure, Reuben, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, The Strokes, Placebo, Kaiser Chiefs, Radiohead, Razorlight, White Stripes, Maximo Park and the Smiths all figure pretty high on my playlist. 60s and 80s all good too. like going to gigs and festivals and always willing to try new things!

Movies:

I'm not a huge film buff but my "fave films ever" list has all the usual suspects (now that's a good film too!) like Withnail and I, all the Monty Python films, This is Spinal Tap, Shaun of the Dead, It's a wonderful life, Shawshank redemption, La Haine, Amelie, Baz Luhrmann, Disney and Tarantino

Television:

Simpsons, Fawlty Towers, Futurama, The Office, Alan Partridge, Scrubs, Monty Python, Eastenders, spaced, Sex and the City, South Park, all the old faves like Dogtanian, Count Duckula and Thundercats. Peep show is perhaps the funniest thing ever

Books:

Being an English grad i kinda love and loathe all types of literature in equal measure. Current faves include Evelyn Waugh and Haruki Murakami

Heroes:

Eddie Izzard, Thom Yorke, John Marston, Helen Fielding, Morrissey, my best friends (altogether now - AWWWWW/retch!)
