She smiles, reminiscing of early childhood lessons from her "abuelas" and nods as she comments on how fortunate she is to have the support of a loving family and a husband who encourages her to have a dual career as an artist and a chemist.
In her waking hours, Paola also studies the principles of chemistry at Florida International University. She adopts and incorporates chemical equations and symbols into her paintings. "After all isn't everything chemistry?" Paola says. Her passion is working with the physical aspects of acrylics and oils, exploring their every combination and limitations on canvas. Through her art, Paola aims to stimulate the eyes and the imagination.
Paola loves to bring beauty and pleasure to the world. It is an extension of her creative soul. To create is as natural and involuntary to her as breathing. Critiques have commented that her work contains balance and an asthetically pleasing affect...
