About Me

I was born and raised in Toronto. I am biracial and grew up in the church listening to the classic gospel and jazz music that my dad loved to play on his record player (i still go back to his house and spin them for the love of it). I started rapping and singing with my bro who wanted me to be the next Lauryn Hill..heehee. I joined the choir Spirit of Joy (still with them) when i was 16 and have been ministering with them for years with gratitude for the opportunity to do so. Music has always been my love, but it goes hand in hand with writing which is why i write all of my own material as well. I was going to study to be a journalist but felt a calling to sing. So i am writing on the side, soon to be publishing a small book of original psalms. I have a band and we are preparing the material i've written to start doing shows until i go down to the states to record my album. If you want to know anymore, just hit me up.

My Interests

I love to read, rap, write, sing, chill out, make music, discuss interesting topics. I dunno...i'm a person.

I'd like to meet:

Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Margaret Atwood, K-os, a lot of dead musicians....jordan santana (heehee), i don't know..the names flew out my head..i'll have to come back to that.

Music:

I love hip hoop, R&B, gospel ...JAZZ....like me a little rock if it's good, some funk and blues. I hate the pretentious stuff in any genre though...i'm kind of picky is what they say but i think i am just critical with a refined taste for music.

Movies:

The Rock, Hope Floats (guilty pleasure), Kiss The Girls, Girl Interrupted....i dunno...can't remember them all

Television:

Dont watch too much of that these days

Books:

I love almost anything by Margaret Atwood. i've read everything by her anyway. I've read too many books to remember titles, but i love to read, and i love books that portray human interaction within everyday life...it can include romance, mystery, etc...but i don't look for a genre...i just look at the plot.
