I'd love to sit down and have a nice cup a joe with God...I bet he's really funny.
I am forever an Incubus fan, but from time to time I can’t help but get stuck on another band; or two. Right now I don’t know if I’m ever going to stop listening to Dredg and Emery. Some of you may remember Dredg from back in the day at Room 1213. That’s right; they played in Anniston, AL way back when. Now they are on T.V., radio, and movie soundtracks (Stealth… along with Incubus.). And as for Emery; they’re revolutionaries of non-secular music. I haven’t heard another band quite like them.
My favorite movie right now would most definitely have to be “Boondock Saintsâ€. There is something about the simplicity of two young Irish-Catholic men “cleaning up†their neighborhood. Even though the movie is filled with blood stains and bullet wounds it still has a comforting feeling of justice served. Maybe because their “dirty deeds†are God-willing and for the good of the community or maybe it’s because we all have that feeling of being sick and tired of having to look at all the immoral garbage that is scattered in our own hometowns and we wish we could do something about it.
Everyone I know that has been deployed to Iraq as come home completely obsessed with the T.V. show “Smallville†and while I do find the show to be very good and entertaining I have become a bigger fan of “Scrubsâ€. This is one of the funniest shows I have seen in a very long time. Anything Zach Braff does is genius.
My brother recently sent me a graphic novel entitled “Watchmen†and I haven’t been able to put it down. This book is what proves that comics are more than funny Archie gags and Jughead jokes. I completely agree with my brother in believing that this is the book they should have made into a movie and not “V for Vendettaâ€. And for those of you who are laughing at a guy who reads graphic novels well… keep laughing it up and I’ll put my boot in your ass. “You guys think that just ‘cuz a guy reads comics he can’t start some shit!†–Brodie “Mallratsâ€
My grandfather “Pappa†who was one of the best men I’ve ever known. My brother, Justin, who is almost as funny as me. Rebecca; who is the love of my life and I can always count on. Sarah and Adam; for being the best friends I’ve ever had. And my parents and grandmother for just being themselves.
