About Me

I created my layout at KillerKiwi.netMusic is my passion and sole creative outlet for most of my intense hyperactive energy. The only other activity I engage in that comes close to a musical experience for me is Surfing. I love the Ocean almost as much as I love music.
My dear friend, teacher, and mentor Jeff Sipe has been the single most powerful influence on my music and my drumming ability. We worked together for several years leading up to my enrollment in music school at Brevard College in the spring of 2006. The Percussion Performance program is directed by Dr. Laura Franklin (current President of NC chapter of Percussive Arts Society) who instructed me in classical percussion performance and 4-mallet keyboard technique on the Marimba and Vibraphone. I completed my degree in the Spring of 2008 and started a full-time career as a musician. I am currently teaching drums in the Asheville/Brevard area as well as working on several studio projects. Look for me touring with the "Odd Meters" in support of their debut studio release "Uncommon Denominator" featuring Jeff Sipe, Kofi Burbridge, Mike Seal, and Stephen K. Wilson.

Influences: My entire life has influenced me as a musician. All of my experiences have contributed to my choice to become a musician. Meeting and learning from Jeff Sipe was by no means a coincidence, nor was deciding to give up the guitar for the drums...

Without a doubt, I can say that my creative spirit has lead me to a place I never thought possible.

Like the tides of the sea and the phases of the moon, the world has led me to a life of music.
