BIO
As an elementary school music fanatic, I would lay in bed at night, my little legs barely making it halfway across my single mattress, and I would dream about a magical machine that could get me any song I wanted, just by typing the song name into it. My methods of acquiring music in bulk became more and more elaborate as the 80s became the 90s, from having my father fly suitcases of bootlegged cassettes out of Saudi Arabia to the Wherehouse Music return-it-if-you-don't-like-it deal which I single-handedly forced them to change after almost bringing the company to their knees. Yet still, my fantasy of the magical music machine eluded me. Then, one sunny day around maybe '98, a computer geek friend of mine introduced me to a little thing called Napster. And my machine had arrived.
Napster was a good woman. Lasted a good few months, got me hip to the dl'ing game. Morpheus came next, but didn't last long - too confusing. Audiogalaxy was off the hook for about 12 days, then just turned to complete shit overnight. Soulseek was good for finding those real obscure songs, but the design is awful. KaZaa was my other long-term beeyatch in this downloading game (Lithuanian honeys are hot), but in the end she got shut down majorly. My new steady is LimeWire. We've been tight for almost a year now, and I don't see it stoppin' no time soon (knock on wood).
