Anna Clark

Bass Player for Hopper

About Me

Anna Clark fell in love with the bass at 5yrs old when a Double Bass was bought to her music lesson at school. As soon as she was tall enough she began lessons.Anna began playing bass guitar when (whilst at St Christopher School) she joined jazz funk band Mganga in 1998 and it was whilst playing, gigging and touring Britain and Europe with this band that she decided the life of a musician was for her. After completing a BA Hons in Music at Dartington College of Arts in 2003, she spent three months living and studying bass in Cuba. On her return, Anna moved to London, and has been busy with various music projects, including studio sessions, song-writing, performing in a wide range of musical styles ever since.....from Drum n Bass to Afro-beat, Trip-hop to Classical, Rock to Hip-hop with many more in between!Anna is currently playing Bass for Hopper a Jazz/Rock fusion band (who were recently shortlisted for an Indy Award - Virgin Xtreme Best Alternative Act)(myspace.com/hoppermusic) with Nick Samuel on Sax, Richie Walker on Drums and vocalist Gemma Enoch. "The whole band are amazing... Brilliant stuff." Rhythm Magazine. Anna is also available for sessions etc.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
