My name is David Britt Johnson and when I was 19 years old I formed the BAND "IGNITION". IGNITION WAS A REVIVAL MUSIC MINISITRY and NOW THE BAND "IGNITION" IS BEING REVIVED!!!.I started the band after I was invited to minister at a Youth Revival. The band the church had booked backed out and they called me to see if I knew of another band. God had taught me how to play guitar and I was used to singing solos at church, so I contacted a few friends who also played instruments and that is how IGNITION was formed. We sounded horrible during our first few practices, but something changed when we would get up to play and lead worship. The power of God would always fall and people would get set free and delivered just during worship. For the next couple of years. We packed out churches and events whereever we played. I remember one church there was standing room only with people packed in like sardines backed into the foyer. Toward the end of the playing we gave testimonies and had an altar call. Even the toughest seeming youth literally would come running to the altar and fall on their faces before God. We would go out into the audience and pray with them. IT WAS AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE!! HERE WE ARE IN OUR INFANCY: Most of us band members went off to college and seperated for various reasonable reasons. But now we are older and God has brought many of the original band members back together. I believe God is REVIVING THIS BAND AND ITS MINISTRY TO REACH THE YOUTH OF THIS NATION AS NEVER BEFORE. He has blessed me with some great new songs and given even my vocals a fresh new anointing. We are far more polished than we were when we performed back then.
