My Interests

I have lived in Jonesboro since November. I love my job and am starting to meet new people. I married my best friend on New Years Eve. I never thought I could ever be this happy, but God has blessed me far beyond what I could imagine. I never thought I could be as happy as I am today. He is so awesome, and I'm soooo in love with him!!!I am a dork.. plain and simple. I like dorky things. I laugh too loud. I believe everything is better with ice cream and sprinkles.... I like to go out in public in my pajamas and a ball cap!!!I also love anything outdoors. Riding four wheelers, playing in the rain, live sports (GO GRIZZLIES HOCKEY! HAHA), bowling, curling up on the couch and watching a movie, or hanging out with some friends. I have recently started an aerobics class with my mother-in-law. I love it! I am hoping to drop about 15 pounds before summer.... cross your fingers..... :)As much as I hate to admit it... I'm really starting to enjoy NASCAR racing. I can't say that I've quite picked my 'man' yet... I have to like Gordon, or I'd be divorced... but.. I think my pick for now is probably Dale Jr.(wait.. can I say that?)

I'd like to meet:

I have one daughter, Addy, who has just turned 5. She is my girly girl.. well, that is until Micah and Quaine show up.. then she's all about being a tom boy... Quaine is about to turn 9, and Micah is 6. They rock! They are the coolest kids....I would LOVE to meet Joyce Meyer. She is so easy to relate to. I have learned so much from her teachings over the past year. I would also have liked to have known my mom's dad. He died when my mom was three. As far as celebrities, I would LOVE to meet Kate Hudson and Reese Witherspoon. They seem very easy to talk to and down to earth. Hotties? Well, I wouldn't mind meeting Matthew McConghey or Daughtry. They are some cuties!!

Music:

I love music... all kinds. I gave up secular music for a while... and realized it REALLY DOES affect your mood. I still listen to some of it... but I am careful as to what I choose to listen to. I love jazzy, blues type music, as well as something I can drive fast to...

Movies:

I love anything with Will Farrell in it. I also like Good Luck Chuck, 1411, Grease, Dirty Dancing, Sweet Home Alabama, Steel Magnolias, Bring it On, Tombstone, Ghost Rider, How To Lose a Guy in Ten Days, just about anything girly..

Television:

Here lately, I don't watch alot of tv. However, Curt and I really enjoy "King of Queens".. Doug and Carrie remind us of our relationship... it's funny... I also like to watch reality shows and Joyce Meyer. My favorite of all is Grey's Anatomy. You gotta love some McDreamy!!! I am sooo ready for the new episodes to come back on....

Books:

I just started reading "WOMAN TO WOMAN" by Joyce Meyers. I am enjoying it so far. I finished the "Purpose Driven Life" book and journal a few months ago. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend the book and the journal. It's definatly a growing experience. I've also read "The Five Love Languages", "The Strong Willed Child" and the Left Behind series. I love John Grisham books... and as always.. don't forget my Cosmo magazine!

Heroes:

My dad is my hero. He was a Marine in the Vietnam war. Growing up I didn't realize the sacrifices he made for our country. As an adult, I am so proud of what he fought for, and realize the adversity he faced once he came home. I also have a cousin in Iraq, fighting for our freedom, as well as my friend's brother. They are all my heroes. They are also raising three children she shouldn't have had to take on. Their strength amazes me! I love them soooo much!

Being "Pressure Cooked"

Last night at church, my pastor gave an example of how our lives are sometimes like meat we put in a pressure cooker. When we have a meat that is tough, or not quite ready to eat, we may put it in a p...

Real Joy

Phillipians 4:4 says that we are to be "full of joy in the Lord". If we can do that (and sometimes it can be very hard), we won't be depressed by our circumstances. Jesus was angered at oppression, an...
