About Me

Hassassins are DJ/producers Doug McCourt & Paul MoloneyDoug McCourt started DJing and producing in 1992, with seminal dance music producer Simon Noble (aka Rebound, Breeder & Maurice & Noble). Producing under many guises over the years, with releases as early as 1993 and spins from the likes of Graeme Park and Danny Rampling, Doug has since gone on to produce tracks under the guise of Hassassins, Idiotek, Kenzo and Riot Radio (with Suicide Sports Club front man and DJ/Producer Luke Brancaccio). Look out for a new release on Morrison Records called 'Wave Controls' with a tasty 16 bit Lolita remix, due August 08. Also, a collaboration with Luke Brancaccio on a remix of Graeme Lloyd's RockNRoll on Stripback Records due out in July 08Paul Moloney has been DJing for over 12 years around London, playing alongside the best in dance music in venues such as Herbal, The Key and infamous Babushka Bars - originally having a taste for alternative music (punk and hard rock in particular), Paul soon took to the decks and has rocked many a party on the London scene. An invitation from Doug into the studio in 2003, spawned a powerful combination of musicality and driving twisted beats. Since working with Doug, Paul has also been involved in other production partnerships, notably with Luke Dzierzek (Silver Planet) and Luke Brancaccio (Bedrock) - aka Random Noize. Hassasins have gone on to produce widely supported tracks from the likes of Pete Tong, Sasha, Jon Digweed, Erick Morillo, Sander Kleinenberg, Nic Fanciuli & Steve Lawler, amongst others and received Radio support from John Kennedy (XFM), Eddie Temple-Morris (XFM), Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1) and Annie Nightingale (BBC Radio1). Tracks of particular note are Kenzo (Workin It Out), remixed by high-flyers Audiofly spun by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection on Radio 1, and Idiotek - Homosapien 2, a remix of the classic proto-punk classic by Pete Shelley, championed on XFM and Radio 1 and resulting in an exclusive feature in DJ mag's 'What's next' section, for producers to watch out for in 2005/6.With an imminent EP due for promotion and remix work coming thick and fast the future looks bright for HassassinsCurrently signed to Music To Die For Records
