Born in Holland, Michigan,raised in the Rio Grande valley I shared the milk with my brother and two sisters' which I love very much. Being father of two,and having a wonderful, and beautiful wife(Nelly) make me very fortunate in my world.But even before any of that begin I was an ambitious musician with a dream.I played in numerous bands in Harlingen.Then came Austin,Tx.where my best friend lived and started a band.They had a following and the music was promising. My friend called and said they needed a guitarist, and my wife unselfishly gave me her blessing to give it a try. I was picked up by the weekend,and started rehearsal immediatly to prepare for a show. We began playing clubs like the Backroom, La Zona Rosa ,and some well known places.Great following that band had.That band was UNLOCO of Austin. Inspite of me living the dream, there was the one most important thing missing in my life, and that was my family.My daughter had been born a few months before I had left, so I had a bit of ground to make up. I quit the band and came home to Harlingen,Tx.Soon after I started working at local Tattoo studio named New World Body Imaging as an artist.It was a great time in my life.I met many people from all walks of life,some wish to remember, some wish to forget.Im now a pro Tattoo artist doing custom, original work.(refer to my pics).Still supatrukin,& ink slingin,and also custom painting motorcycles.Doing true flames,skulls and such my work is starting to get noticed.My daughter Charisma Unique is 10 and Ben is 5,and now that their older they understand what their father is and was. Now there is a new chapter in my life. I now have my own band consisting of Vic Avila(guitar,backup vocals),Rob Garcia(drums),Gary Salamon(bass), and myself Ben Benavides(lead vocals,guitar).We are AT THE WRIST.We now have 2 of our song's recorded, and will be laying down some more tracks in the weeks to come.Our music consists of all original rock, metal.We are currently working on new material at the moment, and hope to be back on the music circuit after a many year hiatus for most of us.
