About Me

Profile courtesy of MySpace LayoutsI'm me...screw what I do and all that, thats for later homes. I'm passionate about my country and it's people. I don't conform to what society has taught me to think cus thats a load of "ubulongwe". I'm interested in how the average black south african thinks because most of it is the doing of apartheid era brain washing, how 75% of perceive themselves and what their idea of beauty is.I'm not proud of the townships.....hell how can anyone be proud of that shit, I'm proud of my heritage and culture not inhumane bulidings that were built to marginilise black folk, I'm proud of the people of s.A for opting to fight it out with ballot boxes rather than civil war (aren't we just reaping the benefits of that?).Into football (soccer) big time! still have "secrete" ambitions of playing premier league football, oh! and it helps that I'm freaking excellent (!). Love music, Hip Hop to be more precise...the honourable Nasir Jones, Rakim Allah, KRS, Kool G Rap, AZ the sosa and more are legends to me. I'm feelin Little Brother, Nicolay, Free Speech in the next wave in true hip hop...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone not stupid enough to judge another human being by the colour of skin they are covered in.Oh and Shaka Zulu!!Dude was a genius with a heart of a lion.Nelson Mandela....Have shook his hand before but I was a kid and didn't know the magnitude of the soul I was in the presence of. this was a lil image expirement of mine, jus testing how it came out, hehe!iZuluNasir Bin Olu Dara..what more can I say about my fav musician..........of all time that is! I'll be tellin my grand kids about this man ( like my gramps used to go on forever about Elvis to me). Timeless music that doesn't need videos, just close your eyes and you can see, smell and taste every word. How can someone who dropped out of school so early speak with such distinction (The Rudyard Kipling syndrome I presume). Ey' man I can go on forever..This is the greatest artist to ever do it (in my books ofcourse) and I'm saying this while his spirit is in him.Jus to show y'all I've been on tis Nas shit for over 10 years baby! You make quality music....I cop your shit!! "Common sense is like the future of the B-Boy!" If you were to check for the most played song on my ipod then "love is" by Common would be numero uno. A Dilla Common team can never go wrong, never!!!! From the Lonious to "It's your world"!!Don't wanna say too much here cus thats between me and my man.Dilla Dawg!! What a talent!! The sad part about Dilla is that people really started realising what a genius he was only when he passed away, I hate that, why does someone have to die first to be acknowledged??.His beats just straight turned me out, I love his soulful beats like the "Love is" on Common's Be and classics from Slum Village days like "I don't know" and "Fall in love". Check out The Root's tribute to Dilla on their latest album, beautiful..I just had to do this piece, My childhood music memories are full of Tupac's music and how I got detention for a week for having his explicit lyrics in my homework book (this is like grade 5 or somethin'). We were lil' kids, black and white, gripped by this matyre's content. hahaha! I remember when news broke out that he'd passed away...boy you should've seen the playground...kids cryin' and shit..crazy shit. Lil' primary school kids in south africa crying over a man far away over the atlantic.Ok enough...?uestlove- The Roots have been out there dishing out quality hip hop for so long that I just decided to a lil' ting for em.If these new rappers wanna look up staying power and message driven music then they need to get The Roots catalogue.Jus my two cents worth for the City that moulded meUmmm! Please don't be playin wit my monkey people,he's mine ALONE!!!!!
