Kick it..... we are HOLIDAYS OF SEVENTEEN (aka HO17) from Fukuoka, Japan.
Formed by friends with a common love for music in October, 2005 we commenced with a simple goal to play catchy , melodic music for the cool kids who dig good music.
Our debut album "YEAH" will be released by the reknowned FABTONE RECORDS in September 2008. It was our great honor to have triple Grammy winner CHRIS SHAW (Weezer, The Cure, Super Furry Animals, John Spencer Blues Explosion,Bob Dylan, Motion City Sound Track etc) fully produce our album.
Please see our discography below, we have anew single out titled "HEY, SCISSORMAN!" and previously had a split called "MILES AWAY" with pals, labelmates and kings of Japanese EMO ROCK (!) LOCAL SOUND STYLE and some other comps and demos.
Some press and music industry people have labelled us "the Japanese WEEZER", its amazing to mentioned in the same sentance as our favorite band and if we sound a little like them to you then we are stoked!
