The Official "Save Teen Titans" MySpace

About Me

Info / What This MySpace Is About:
Teen Titans, the hit show on Cartoon Network, was on for five seasons spanning about two and a half years (July 2003-January 2006). Not a bad run, but not good enough for those who were fans of the show. It was cancelled in November of 2005, and the series finale, Things Change, was aired in February 2006. Since then, fans across the globe have been fighting to get the show renewed for a sixth season.
This campaign is dedicated to bringing everyone's efforts together and focusing them in one unified direction. Together, we will convince Cartoon Network to give us, the fans, more seasons of this great show that has brought entertainment to people of all ages, young, old, and in between, during it's short but successful run.
Not much is known at this time about why the show was cancelled. At the time of cancellation, it was in the top five rated shows on Cartoon Network. It was suggested in an article of Toyfare (and later confirmed in an interview with Rob Hoegee, story editor for the show) that Cartoon Network's decision to not order more episodes was due mostly to it having already reached the average lifespan of most cartoon shows (five seasons), and they just never planned to do more than that. A poor reason, and one which we won't accept. The writers still wanted to continue doing the show, and had plenty of ideas to work with. The voice actors wanted to keep going, as well. And most of all, the fans wanted them to make more episodes. Which makes CN's decision to cancel Teen Titans sting all the more.
We now also have a new mission: the Teen Titans Go! comics are in danger of also being cancelled! Write letters and send emails to save Teen Titans Go! (Scroll down the page a bit for more details.)
If you would like to join the campaign and help out, scroll down to find out what you can do. Titans fans, GO!
Note: This page is run by fans of the show. It is not an "Official Teen Titans" page. It is not associated with Cartoon Network, WB, or DC Comics. I do not own anything relating to Teen Titans, including the characters, plot, etc.

Some things you can do to help get the series back:
Write Letters
Write letters to Cartoon Network expressing your love for the show and desire to see it brought back ( click here for CN's address). Be polite and curteous in your letters, as threats, cursing, and the like will do more harm than good. And if you're serious about doing this, then please scroll down and read about the Weekly Letter-writing Campaign.
Buy Merch
One of the biggest things you could do right now, if not the biggest, is buy a copy (or two) of Trouble In Tokyo. This movie absolutely MUST sell well. If it doesn't, say goodbye to Glen Murakami's Teen Titans forever. But if it does, we very well might get a green light for more TT direct-to-video movies, and will greatly increase our chances of one day getting a sixth season of the show! Other DVDs you could buy that are almost as important to our cause are the season sets, especially The Complete Second Season, as well as The Complete Third Season, coming out on April 10th.
Post Banners on Your MySpace
Post one of the banners provided here on your website, MySpace profile, or elsewhere, and make sure it links back to either TitansTower.com or myspace.com/SaveTeenTitans. Also, scroll down for some Buddy Icons you can use. These are great ways to spread the word about the Save Teen Titans Campaign.
Other Things You Can Do
Word of mouth, mostly. Tell your friends about Teen Titans' cancellation and the Save Teen Titans Campaign. Put this profile in your Top Friends. (It doesn't have to be #1, just as long as it's in there and visible to everyone who visits your page.) Buy an item from the Save Teen Titans Store and sport it in public. Post a bulletin advetising this MySpace and what it's about (scroll down for an example bulletin you can use). The more friends that are added, the better. But the sky's the limit as far as what you can do. Be creative and come up with your own ways of spreading the word.
Here's a pre-typed bulletin you can post, if you'd rather not type one yourself. Just copy and paste the entire message in the text box below into the bulletin with the title "Teen Titans fans, read this!"
Are you a fan of the show Teen Titans on Cartoon Network?Well, did you know that it's been cancelled as of November of 2005?That's right. This great show, which was still pulling in fantastic ratings at the time it ended, was cancelled at the end of season five, and no real reason was ever given. (It was one of the top 5 rated shows on CN, and the writers still had plenty of ideas for more episodes.) We as fans aren't going to take this lying down. We're standing up and telling Cartoon Network just how we feel (politely, of course, lol). We want this show brought back. We want a sixth season. As it just so happens, there are uncountable Titans fans around the world, and we're all standing together in this cause, writing letters, etc., and we won't stop until Cartoon Network gives us our show back.Do you want to help out and do your part to save Teen Titans? Then please go to the official Save Teen Titans MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/saveteentitans and learn how. And repost this bulletin (hit reply and copy and paste the message). We need your help!Titans fans, GO!
Save the Teen Titans Go! Comics!
They haven't been cancelled yet, so we can stop it from ever happening by fighting now while these comics are still in publication. Write letters and emails... but more importantly, write letters!
Write letters to:
Paul Levitz (and/or Dan DiDio)
c/o DC COMICS
1700 Broadway NYC, NY 10019
Send emails to: [email protected]
Snail mail is far more effective than emails, so please, don't just send emails; take the time to write a letter, as well. And remember, be thoughtful, sincere, and passionate, but be nice.
The latest news as of mid-June: we have succeeded in prolonging TTG's cancellation until after comic no. 50! Keep writing letters, it's working!
Weekly Letter-Writing Campaign:
For the most dedicated Teen Titans fans, serious about getting the show back. Please write one or more letters to Cartoon Network every week to take part in this. To remind you, a bulletin will be posted every Wednesday, however, you may send out your letter(s) any day of the week you choose.
As I said above, when you write your letter, remember to be polite and curteous, and above all, honest. Do not curse or use foul or abusive language or threats, as this will do more harm than good for our cause.

Fan-Drawn Comics:
A few of the folks at the Teen Titans Forum have decided to draw comics featuring the Titans after the cancellation of the show and distribute them throughout the Internet to raise awareness of the show's cancellation and our efforts to bring it back. All of these comics have been written and drawn by members of that forum, so names mentioned are screen names of those members. Please, feel free to email them to your friends, print them up and hand them out to people, whatever your little heart desires.

Official Teen Titans Merch:
As I said above, buying the Teen Titans: Trouble In Tokyo DVD will be a big help in getting the series back. DVD sales have brought back other shows from the grave, namely Family Guy (which was brought back after FOUR YEARS of being cancelled), and it could definitely help for this show as well. But just in case you're in the market for more than just the new movie, here's some other TT items for sale that you can keep an eye out for whose sales may also be helpful in bringing the show back.
