There's big a list of things I'm into but just a few that are real passions. I'm a Christian, and God comes first in my life. I'm really involved in my church as a Sunday school teacher, sports, missions, and now I'm a deacon. How scary is that? Outside of that, I'm big into movies, music, and more recently, riding my Harley. I've come to realize that if I just get on my bike, I can let the whole world go... and it's just me and the road. And that's a great feeling. I also enjoy lifting weights and playing golf (though I don't get to play as much as I would like to). I'm a huge NASCAR fan. It's great watchin the races in HD.. you can almost see Jeff Gordon crying! Lately, I've been helping my future wife pick out wedding stuff, which has been a lot of fun.
I'd like to meet:
I'd really like to meet a few musicians like Demon Hunter, Red, and David Gilmour (amazing guitarist from Pink Floyd). There's tons of biblical characters like Solomon, David, Abraham, etc... and I know I'll meet them one day. Maybe we'll catch a movie or play a round of golf. I bet those will be the nicest fairways I've ever seen. Come on.. don't you believe there will be golf in heaven? I'm a big NASCAR fan, so definitely some guys like Dale Jr., Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart, Mark Martin, etc.
Music:
I surround myself with music whenever possible. At work, at home, at the gym.. I've always got music going. I pretty much listen to only Christian music, mostly hard rock and metal, but I still through some CCM in there too. Here's a little list of some of the bands that I'm really into right now: Demon Hunter (best Christian metal, gosh, just metal in general), Red (amazing lyrics... BUY THEIR ALBUM!!), As I Lay Dying, The Showdown, Kids In The Way, Project 86, Living Sacrifice (wish they were still making records), O.A.T.H., P.O.D., Family Force 5, Casting Crowns, Andy Hunter (awesome Christian Dance / Techno sound), etc. etc. .. width="425" height="350" ....
Movies:
Wow... this could take a while. There's a short list of all-time favorites, but the list of just really diggin is fairly lengthy. Here's the top of the charts: A Christmas Story (I can watch this in the middle of July), Dumb and Dumber (I can recite virtually every word.. it's terribly annoying), and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (they should have stopped here before embarrassing themselves with Vegas Vacation). The really diggin list consists of stuff like Along Came A Spider, Kiss The Girls (Morgan Freeman is the man), Fletch, Boondock Saints, Dutch, Clue, The Goonies, Matrix Trilogy, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, etc etc.
Television:
I don't get to watch much television with my late days at work, the gym, and church activities. But when I do get to sit around and slowly become a lump, then it's gotta be 24 (Superman wears Jack Bauer pajamas!), Seinfeld, Drew Carey Show, Whose Line Is It Anyway, That 70's Show, MI-5 (British spy show), The Office (the British Version). Books:
Of course I read the Bible on a regular basis... cause you can't get close to someone without spending time with them right? (Prayer and reading the Bible.. paths to truth). I try to read some different things every now and then like James Patterson's Alex Cross series of books which they made into the movies Kiss The Girls and Along Came a Spider. There's a book coming out towards the end of the year about time travel that I really want to read. Some scientist says he believes that we will be able to time travel by the end of the century.... interesting stuff. I'm such a dork.
