About Me

Yes.
God bless America.
Bless this backward motherfucking Land of the "Free."
You're not free.
You will never be free.
There is always some way they can keep you under control.
They've got the media and corporations to do it for them.
There's never a way.
Society, civilization, age laws, drug laws.
They spend their time and money locking up nonviolent citizens for something as harmless as smoking pot.
(Or just having a pipe on you).
Ah, yeah. Why don't you go catch some rapists or murderers or tweek cookers, huh?
Oh, because that requires effort? Ah, I see. Well yeah... arresting people and fining the shit out of them lot more profitable than just legalising and taxing it.
Or whatever their reasoning is.
ONE NATION UNDER FEAR.
Fuck the smugness.
Fuck the propaganda.
Fuck the "we know what's best for the rest of the world" attitude.
Fuck the materialism.
Fuck the hubris.
FUCK CAPITALISM.
Caring about people and what's morally right and what's honest and what's true has been made illegal.
But you know, it's been this way since the very beginning of government, so it's pretty much pointless to try to change it.
Tyranny waxes and wanes like the sun; good times, bad times.
Some people are good, some selfish and evil.
Just live,
and fuck the rest.
(But they say there's only one correct way to live).
My name is Ben.
The best phrase to describe me would be
hopeless optimist.
I have been single since the day I was born, save for a couple disappointing distractions thrown in here and there.
I live in a terrible place to like cock
(and a big, juicy intellect, it would also appear...)
A fantastic product sold in the WRONG market.
Won't you give me a try?
Some days I feel like a god,
Others, I am small,
But never mindless.
I am an acquired taste.
I am the opposite of everyone you've ever met
(And exactly the same).
I'm usually up for anything, so long as it does not involve violence or disrespect toward any living thing (man or nature).
Potentially manic,
¡Panic!
I LIKE EVERYONE.
(until I have a reason to think otherwise... and there are many reasons...)
How I react to you is directly proportional to how you act to me.
I (mostly) love indie music, a little bit of mainstream here and there, a lot of classic rock... well, some of everything, actually... pretty much anything that has a palatable harmony (and sometimes even if it doesn't).
Yes! That even includes rap and country. I like old country. Willie Nelson style. And David Allan Coe. Whatcha gonna do 'bout it?!
I love to write.
Mostly vague poetry.
Well, anything really.
I defy convention.
If I feel focused (I rarely do), short stories.
Someday I'll try my hand at books.
I'd have to say my life is certainly interesting enough to derive something worth reading out of it.
I have the power. Now if only I could harness it...
*bah!*
Check out my blog if you care to read it (which I think you should, you know, because I mean if you've read all of this then you should do it just to be nice... you know?!).
I have no idea what the fuck I am going to do with my life.
I was supposed to go to college in Chicago, but then a bunch of really stupid bullshit made its way into my life and now all my plans have changed and I really don't know where I'm going to go or what I'm going to do... so... I'm pretty much living day by day, and that is just fine with me.
So, presently, my three principle interests are friends, memories, and creativity.
It's kind of just cool to be alive.
Except when having to deal with unnecessary complication and complexities.... you know, bullshit.
And now...
the favourites!
My favourite bands are Sufjan Stevens, Broken Social Scene,
Menomena, and the Arcade Fire.
Three of my favourite movies are Half Nelson, Borat, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
(if you've read this far, congratulations... you have too little to do)
I am hopelessly addicted to:
Coffee
Natural peanut butter (crunchy)
Animal crackers
Natalie Dee, Toothpaste For Dinner, and Married to the Sea
Broken Social Scene
Speaking Spanglish
notgivingafuck
giving a fuck
Independence
Individuality
Love
People
Tolerance
thinking
Things that are green (x___o)
The word "fuck"
And a vast plethora of substances :0
That is all you need to know
(Unless you are intrigued, which is also a possibility... which is kind of the entire goal of Myspace, really...)
Beware! I am a grammar NAZI.
Good grammar is dead sexy.
Ah yes, and I am possibly crazy.
(But who's to say what "crazy" is, anyway?)
I can be contacted readily on AOL/AIM at
Mrgrimm601
*(p.s. - I hate shallow people, oblivious people, ignorant people,
and anyone who is too ADD or impatient to read this and then messages me saying something like
"hey wuts up cutie u seem cool we shuld hook up sumtime".
if you ever send me a message like that, i wish you nothing but death).
