sometimes things change so quickly and unexpectedly that we dont even notice how different things are until one day the harsh new reality slaps us in the face, waking us up from our seemingly-eternal temporary slumber in the darkness of our inner most thoughts and we look at ourselves and realize we arent the same person we once were. we look around at the people we love and we see strangers. we stare into the vast emptiness inside our hearts and see nothingness and our emotions are void and pointless. we look up and see rock bottom. we look down and see ourselves. we look to god only to see a book of meaningless lies. we look to family and see there is no one there. we look to friends and end up tragically disappointed. we look to the future and fear there may not be one. we look at the past and we are broken by the memories we have lost in the frantic speed of things.
