About Me

Said Eris, "I am chaos. I am the substance from which your artists and scientists build rhythms. I am the spirit with which your children and clowns laugh in happy anarchy. I am chaos. I am alive, and I tell you that you are free." - Principia Discordia, Malaclypse the Younger
"Who knows what Delirium sees, through her mismatched eyes?" - Season of Mists, Neil Gaiman
"Imperious, choleric, irascible, extreme in everything, with a dissolute imagination the like of which has never been seen, atheistic to the point of fanaticism, there you have me in a nutshell.... kill me again or take me as I am, for I shall not change..." - Last Will and Testament, de Sade

For those not already warned...
I'm Laura, often better known by my Ãœberl33t,, moniker, "m4lic3". I also go by the nom de plume of "Dischordia Eldritch", because my real name is way too boring to put on paper. What do you expect? My parents named me after a fucking shrub. World of Warcraft players may know me as " Zhai ", my avatar on the Hellscream server.
I'm a 19 year-old thing, diagnosed as female, created in Worthing (a.k.a.: Satan's Waiting Room) and currently residing in Brighton, in a little studio flat near the seaside. I spend most of my nerdy existence drawing pictures, writing stories, making and customizing my own clothes, listening to music, reading books, and playing video games. Yay me! */dance*
I work as a Quality Assurance Technician mobile phone software tester.
My sense of humour is, apparently, somewhat ironic, morbid, bitter, and extremely sarcastic. Absurdism makes me smile. I'm more than capable of laughing at myself, unlike some silly people. People say I look grumpy a lot of the time but I'm not, I swear! That's my just my "I'm thinking" face! o.O
I'm a notorious procrastinator, an incorrigible smart-arse, and a fiend for anything caffeinated or covered in sugar. I'm also a bloody great geek, especially for science fiction, fantasy, computers, and anime.
I'm fickle about a lot of things, but my opinions on the things that really matter to me rarely change, and I'll fight tooth and nail to defend them. I have a terrible attention span, and get bored very easily.
I apparently spend far too much time sitting in front of my computer when I could go and explore this 'outside' everyone else is talking about. I'm pretty sure that I daydream too much for my own good, but that's because things are far more interesting inside my head than they are in 'real life'.

I'd like to meet:

Locals, gamers, artists, writers, dreamers, those who enjoy an intelligent discussion, interesting people, the morbidly curious, and fun, friendly people in general. I do enjoy meeting people who share something in common with me. However, I simply cannot tolerate stupidity, jealousy, ignorance, plagiarism, conformists, those who cannot be honest about themselves, and morons who cannot spell or punctuate properly. I also have a strong aversion to 'scene kids' and their ilk, comment whores, attention seekers, griefers, cheaters, elitist bastards, spammers, copycats, liars, stalkers, and people who refuse to even attempt to think outside of their little box once in a while.

Please don't be a sad bastard and add me simply to increase the size of your friends list. It makes me rather cross.

Myself, first and foremost, for without myself I would be nothing. In my darkest hours, I was, and remain, my own best friend. Those who truly know me will understand what this means.

My family and friends, Mike, and everyone else who really matters, deep down. Those who have stood by me, no matter how bad things were, have my undying love and respect.
