The Webster’s Dictionary defines it as being "a condition that persists or progresses over a long period of time and has a long lasting effect.” And that is in deed who “Chronic,” the rapper strives to be. Born in Flatbush, Brooklyn and raised in Crown Heights, he is a breath of fresh air in the ever so repetitive world of Hip Hop. Chronic gives off a strong presence of style and rhythm in his passionate and powerful lyrics and hypnotic flow. He strives to be the voice of those without one and touch the ears that listen. Chronic plans to shine a light and show what can become of a person when he refuses to settle.When his album hits the streets the world will understand what this movement is about. From his single “Big City Of Dreams”, “I’m the voice of a solider who never suppose to get over, scream at Jehovah but God came and he scold us.” No gimmicks, no stuns, no lies, and no propaganda, nothing but an East Coast feel with a West Coast name.A name that defines persistent, progression, sacrifice and determination all things that make him who he is and what he has to say all worthwhile. In fact, in life things happen for a reason that can alter ones futures leaving room for pain and misunderstanding. His trademarked name was chosen after a series of unfortunate events in his life, including being a victim of a hit and run at the tender young age of 8, and his uncontrollable headaches. Similar to the Webster’s definition meaning, in many ways Chronic is the new breed of rising stars and is determined to last several years in this rap game because like fame we all want to live forever.
