BORN in Boston ma, in the projects of Ruggles St. Dana Dane loved the dancing and music.that led him to starting the r&b group the superiors. But that was not all. DJing at parties gave him the opportunity to network with other up and coming artist like his shelf. ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------
In 1982 his grandmother set up a meeting with Boston's own new editions management team so the group could get an audition. From there Dana Dane became a professional in the entertainment world of music. The group then signed their first record deal ever with Critque records and from there it landed them a deal with one of the biggest labels ever MOTOWN. Where they released their hit single Step By Step that Dana Dane's uncle hit maker Maurice Starr produced. later on down the road the legendary New Kids On The Block did a remake of it. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------
In 1989 after leaving L.A. Dana Dane head back to the east coast to attend school. Where he studied studio eng & broadcasting along with business management & marketing. This gave him life after his 15 min of fame as an r&b singer. Which took him to the next level of fame be coming the captain of street teams @ Indi-pro marketing under the supervision of DJ addition and Eddie Q ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------
This helped him build his resume by promoting such companies and artist like J Lo, Warren G, Mobb Deep, Black rob, virgin records,VP records,atomic pop, and many others. But the big break came when he was offered to go on The Up In Smoke TOUR after that it is what it is STREET SQUAD PROMOTIONS WAS BORN.
