Rodney Talley is a Mighty Man of God! He is not only the Founder and Executive Director of The Art of Worship Academy, a 501(c)3 non-profit Christian performing arts school, but also the Founder and Executive Director of Renewing the Mind Ministries, which allows him to minister the Word of God through dance, singing, and drama. The Lord has anointed him, allowing him to be highly sought after as he encourages the Body of Christ and evangelizes the lost through the performing arts.
Rodney Talley began his training at Freedom Theatre after being casts in his first play, Cooley High. It was then when he began to take the arts more seriously, further developing his gifts. Presently he is the director of the Liturgical Dance Ministry at The Baptist Worship Center, serving under his Pastor, Bishop Millicent Hunter. While under his leadership, the dance ministry has grown from six (6) dancers, since he was first appointed as leader in 2001, to its present membership of more than seventy members ranging in age from 8 to 60.
Rodney Talley also serves as the International Liturgical Dance Director under United Covenant Churches of Christ, serving under the Presiding Bishop, Larry D. Trotter. Under these auspices, he oversees over 300 churches in the area of worship arts. Rodney is not a newcomer to the world of the arts, and has decided to use the gifts that God gave him to bless the world. Rodney has traveled throughout the Mid-west and East Coast teaching worship arts workshops and ministering to God’s people through dance and also as a gifted psalmist. Rodney Talley is currently a student at Philadelphia Biblical University. There he will receive a dual B.A. degree in Bible and Business Administration.
